You have a budget and you have a website – or an idea of a website for your business. Perhaps it’s your own or perhaps you have a boss or board of directors who have tasked you with the challenge of making it successful. But, how specifically will it be a success and how will that success be measured?
Effective Web Marketing Strategy
When I tell people who manage their own website what I do for a living, I tend to get bombarded with statistics back at me as they proudly tell me how many hits they are getting or that they are no. x in Google. This is all very good (and it has its place in the process) but it’s kind of missing the point.
Good web statistics don’t pay the bills*
That’s why I focus on business results that translate into paper success. For business-to-business this tends to be sales lead generation, for B2C it’s exposure that leads to increasing online sales (usually campaign led).
Examples of Relevant Projects
- Increasing the number of sales leads for a windows and doors company in Basingstoke by 24% (3 month average) by tweaking the online sales process.
- Developing a database of over 1600 opt-in email subscribers for a beauty salon in Farnborough (still growing at 70 per month).
Bespoke Web Marketing Strategy
If together we can understand more about your clients and what they want, we can begin to work out what makes them tick and how they want information delivered to them through your website.
We’re talking about addressing the problems they have, the words they use and where they place value in your service offering or product. This can then be transferred into an web marketing strategy that bleeds through your website, your email marketing and your ad campaigns (as well as onto your offline marketing).
You end up delivering value-add to your loyal customer base, encouraging word-of-mouth, and you attract more clients online through content that engages the right kind of customer for you.
